The hypocrisy of Christianity

Christians claim to be followers of Christ; and to this day they claim that they are in all things only doing God’s will, yet they demonstrate with their deeds the very hypocrisy of their beliefs and their own convictions based on those beliefs. According to the scriptures Jesus supposedly said: 36 “Be compassionate just as your Father is compassionate. 37 Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.” Luke 6: 36, 37 (NJB)

Upon first glance it seems like a simple and direct commandment, but it is not as simple as it seems. I don’t care who you are or from what walk of life you come from it is in our nature to judge one another. Not necessarily on religious beliefs and convictions but also on societal norms. We even judge each other on the weirdest things such as how a person dresses, smells, walks, or talks. It is natural to judge certain people, places, and things based on our own life experiences and convictions. John 15: 18-20, Matthew 5: 13-15

Because of the many commandments of the biblical god from the old testament under the law and the commandments from the new testament under grace, Christians are filled with unreasonable biases. Christianity in general is sexist, homophobic, pro-slavery, bigoted, etc… In order to be a true Christian you must be willing to sacrifice your ability to reason and rationalize, you must put unquestioning faith now matter how impossible it is first.

You must accept that you are nothing more than a piece of navel lint and that without God you are absolutely worthless, you must sacrifice your will for his will whatever you believe that will might be. You must be untrue to yourself since everything that might bring you joy out of life for instance a homosexual relationship is a sin before the Lord. Or not having an abortion after having been impregnated by a rapist simply because the church tells you it is a sin before God.

Once the poison of Christian beliefs and biases enter your system and take over your mind, you become the most hypocritical bigot on the face of the earth. All of a sudden the world and everything in it has to conform to your beliefs and what you believe to be your gods will. The world becomes a hostile place and everything you can possibly think of as wrong with the world centers on its lack of submitting to your religious convictions and beliefs. What you fail to realize my dear Christian is that religious beliefs have been around since mankind’s infancy, and that throughout its existence it has varied and changed as knowledge about the world we live in has changed and increased.

Religious beliefs are a personal choice and are not meant to be shoved down the throats of those that differ or refuse to accept them. An atheist has free will in that he is much more closer to living his life and doing what makes him happy. As long as his life choices are benevolent and do not harm his fellow members of society they are acceptable. He is not a slave to dogma or religion everything he does is because he wants to and chooses to. He does not behave a certain way because it is what is required by his deity of choice, he does not withhold those things in life that bring him pleasure because it violates a command of an imaginary deity.

The atheist enjoys life to the fullest and when he decides to help out a fellow human in need he does so not because he is trying to do God’s will, but because he is doing his own will. And whenever he does a good deed he feels good and can take the full credit for his labor of love. Not having to hand over credit to the grace of God but rather to the goodness of his own heart and convictions. Christianity breeds hypocrisy, and hypocrisy separates man from his true nature and self.

    So very well said!!

I was thinking about what to call religions, it appears mind poisoning fits the bill.

I've noticed just about 100% of males (especially males, but now some women) who start to read the bible very soon afterwards elect themselves to a position of pastor, minister, mentor, etc. I do not know of any other literature which affects the inner psyche into the human mind which seems to be addressed pacifically to the male mind as the bible does, do you Chat?

Perhaps the Quran and the book of Mormon, or Dyanetics (sp?)

Whatever it's mind rot, mind poison, mind clutter, mind fog, IMHO.

Can you imagine what the world would be like without such nonsense being allowed to spread as it has?

  2. I am with Hitchens on this one when he named his book 'God is not great' How religion poisons everything. The world would be a much better place without all of this nonsense. There is so much prejudice in the world because of religion.

  3. A Christian cannot be happy until his delusional image of God's kingdom on earth is all around him. So easily offended. Pilgrims came to America to establish the perfect world order, a theocracy. It is an insane way to live, quite dysfunctional. And the Bible tells them to do all that. They become like gods. Such inflated egos meanwhile saying they are humble. The pope is the perfect example. He shows how humble he is with his vow of poverty and yet lives in a mansion that dwarfs kingly palaces. It as you say it sets up a facade, hypocrites.

  5. welcome to the light. I am glad you were able to get out, to a better way to think, to believe, to be. No one will ever be truly free until he is free of religion.

  6. Thanks for your comment chris. I have been walking in the light for the past 17 going on 18 years in January. Believers in myths and superstitions are blinded to the repressive nature of their beliefs. Not only is Christianity repressive it is oppressive as well.

Believers go out of their way defending a belief system that relies entirely on myth, ancient texts based on oral traditions, etc. Because they don't read the scriptures they are blinded to the inconsistencies and the impossibilities behind those tales as factual or historical.

  7. I have believed in the God of the Bible my whole life, but after years of this, I am at a loss. For the first time I don't know. I absolutely believe people should always have the right to believe what they wish, and freedom of speech goes along with that. Personally, I have seen my life be one of giving to the poor, giving to friends, pardoning others debts, being the only frined to an outcast, etc. In return I have gone without in many ways. (not all mind you) I have not reaped what I have sowen. I have to say..... I don't believe in the God of the Bible like I used to. Thought I should brag a little since he has covered it up so well. Interesting isn't it, He never tires of bragging about himself. Can he say this? I have never killed. I can say it. He is a hypocrite, guilty of what he says man does.Finding excuses to kill. He loves to say things like strain a fly and swallow a camel. He is better at it than anyone. Guess the mouth speaks what's in the heart. He says you reap what you sow. Is he honest when he says this? Sometimes we do, I guess, sometimes for sure not, atleast in this life. Ever notice the Bible talking about him laughing at certain things. This is what a living being does when they cannot justify what they do. They laugh about it, because they cannot prove it wrong. He backs away from my challenges.... because he knows better. Atleast with humans, you could get a fair fight. God fights battles which are rigged, only those which he can win, and he has to cheat to do it.

  8. One thing to add to what I wrote just above this......I know this sounds crazy, but I really believe God is responsible for over 90 percent of the sin in my life, if you use the Bible as a guide. I won't get into specifics. To be honest about it, I am a little surprised I was even given an opportunity to even put this up on the internet. Wow!!! He actually gave me free will, just like Adam and Eve. Maybe there is hope afterall. Lol. Have a nice day.

  9. Just one more thing. My third straight blog, or whatever you call it. I have read the Bible a few times, mostly NT. Some people are very good at remembering Bible verses, I am not. Doesn't the Bible talk about a certain group of people who put a load on a persons back which is too heavy to carry. You have to be kidding. This is the inspired word of God? So.... does this apply to him as well? 2 times up I menat to say "friend" not "frined". I could spell better in first grade.

  10. 4th time in a row for blogging. These things just keep popping into my head. The difference between some of you and myself is that in my heart, I believe the Bible, so I know that I will be condemned. I will die in this life, then die the 2nd death, that of the spirit. I just cannot bring myself to worship a being that is so weak, he has to be worshipped. Is this not weakness? Now, what Jesus did, I believe to be truth. What resolve and strength he showed. Ultimate sacrifice. That being said, and how many times have you heard some zealous Christian say, "you have to look at the whole word of God". Fine, let's turn the tables and look at more that what God did with the sacrifice of his son. Jesus uses the word hyprocrites over and over. How many living beings did the "I AM" kill. Some, including myself, would argue there is a huge difference between killing and murdering. Still, you are going to tell me there was no other way, other than killing countless numbers. You counted the hairs on their heads, Did you count them? Here is another beauty. I heard a pastor talking about God loving us so much that he created free will. He even gave Lucifer free will........I guess because he loves us. That was what this guy said on the radio when someone questioned why God would make a Devil. I don't have children, but if I did, maybe I should throw a cobra into the crib....... all because I love them. Thanks so much God for giving Lucifer free will. It shows you love me. This F........ BS book. I will never read it again.

  11. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Anonymous, they were very insightful and reminded me how I felt when I began to stray from the faith. But I have good news for you! Contrary to what the bible says you will not die in sin for sin is not a real, tangible thing, it only exists in the minds of the deluded. Finally, gladly for you and the rest of us who have seen the bible for what it is, a book of myths; there is no hell.

  12. Hi Chat, Yeah I don't know. It is tough to change your thinking after years. Thanks for the input. Since you know about the Bible, you know about things like... It is better to have an anvil wrapped around your neck and thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to sin. I have to wonder about the tree in the garden??????? What about that, causing us to sin???? To wrap it up, now in the NT all of a sudden a person is guilty of murder if they are angry with their brother. He has to change the rules half way through becaue myself along with jane Doe and Joe Blow never killed anyone and he drowned the world. Chat, I am uncertain, but I now see how people don't believe in the Bible. I can finally see that. I still wonder how we came to be. Have a good day sir.

  13. @Anonymous, I am very aware of all of the biblical threats towards those that stray or cause others to stray from the faith. But those are just idol threats, one of the key components of Christianity is coercion through the use of fear. Fear of the unknown is very real for some people, especially if you were indoctrinated for a long time in that system of fear.

How the universe began and how life in general began are two completely different subjects. Religion is mans interpretation of what he believes happened based on unfounded tales during a pre-scientific age. Science on the other hand has helped to uncover some of these mysteries to a certain extent but it is still a work in progress and discovery is never ending.

Breaking from the bondage of faith and fear completely took me about six years of self doubt etc. I feared hell and I feared God and the consequences of my disbelief. That my friend is the hardest part, but once you can overcome your fears you can see Christianity for what it truly is: just another myth.

  15. Thanks again Chat. Any ideas as to what will happen after we perish? I have to say that even though I was brought up Catholic, I have never feared going to a burning place forever. I just believed that we would die the physical, then spiritual death, if not saved. We would not exist. Do you think we will exist after death? I lost my faith when I continued to do good to others- I was raised at a young age to be good to everybody. When people need me, I am a great guy, when not, into the garbage can I go. The anger is so great, I will never go back. If I am rewarded now, great, won't change anything. The sand is through the hourglass. Too late. The thing that pisses me as well is that there is no justice. The stories I could tell. My brother is one of most generous people who ever lived. All he has done is help people. Who knows how many childrens charities. A couple of years ago he got into some trouble. It made him look like something he was absolutely not. An interview was done with the police. He was 100 percent honest. All of a sudden he was in trouble. Tip for you Chat. Never be honest with with someone unless they are an honest person themselves. You probably know this. Talk later sir. Do you believe in Karma or is it Carma?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Anonymous, when it comes to what happens to us after we physically die I think it is obvious what happens to the body. I am skeptical about ghosts and living on in spiritual form, but I do not discount the possibility of existing as a non conscious form of energy of some sort.

I am pretty sure that hell or heaven are false concepts and ideas and thus am not concerned with either of them. I don't really believe in karma but at times it does seem like it exists. I personally see life as made up of usually unpredictable random events.

I understand your brothers plight. I was in a similar situation in 2003 and I think that at times I am still being castigated for it. People never forget the mistakes one makes, they can admire you for a lifetime of good deeds and outstanding character. But all it takes is one slip up and all of that is quickly forgotten.

  17. Chat, good to hear from you. I suppose I should stop hiding. My name is Josh. I got to thinking today about the power of the mind. Before I go any further I should say that in the deepest part of my being I know I will always believe in the Bible, it's just that I can't agree with it or how God works. I believe a lot of times some do not understand the power of the mind. I really believe a person could not believe in the Bible, but if they believe something it will still happen. On the other hand a person who believes in the Bible might pray but not get because they don't believe in their heart.

Sorry to hear about what happened. I know, this is why I have reached the point of giving up. Why even try? You can work your ass for years all for nothing. It would be better to be a liar, thief, selfish, and spend your life taking instead of giving. Of course, all of us has been selfish at some point and hurt others, but we don't make a lifetime of it. God loves to cater to the selfish, the lying toungues, the thieves, let's not forget murderers and those who hurt others. I have been a witness to it and so have you. All I can do its say what I know. To wrap it up, there are things about the Bible that make total sense to me and other things that make no sense at all. I wonder if the words in it changed down through the years. I am a distance runner. One thing I love about it is that you reap what you so. If you run 5 miles, you feel good, ten you feel better, 20 better yet. A person is rewarded for his or her labor. God and the world he made are far from that and very unfair. Thanks, talk later.

  18. Nice to make your acquaintance Josh! I agree with you that the power of the mind is in fact quite fascinating. I think that with positive thoughts and hard work and determination anyone could make their lives work out for the better.

I know that life is unfair, but you must keep in mind that it does not discriminate. Everything has a price. You hear about millionaires committing suicide and you are tempted to wonder "why did he commit suicide when he has it all?" But nothing could be further from the truth. As the song by the Beetles says: money can't buy you love.

Every circumstance brings with it its own set of problems and adversity, but we can't let that destroy our resolve to be happy and make the most of this life. Just because life seems unfair to me in particular does not mean that I am going to make sure that others are miserable by becoming a liar, cheater, or crook.

Life is about you and how you choose to live it. You have your good times and those times you would rather forget and bury in your past. But you do as I do, and that is make the most of what you have now. Thanks for your comments and stay in touch.

  19. Chat, this is Josh. Mind if I ask why you lost your faith? Can you explain how we got here? I don't like killing even insects, so I must have a trace of Hindu in me. hehe

Yeah, I don't think money is the answer either, although it does come in handy. Some people like myself don't make a lot but I do love my work.

You think there is other life in the universe? You think somebody just made up the Bible? Have a fun day, Josh

  20. Reading the bible, combined with my experiences in the ministry led me to question everything regarding my faith. Once I read the bible I could not reconcile all of the evil deeds that God did or ordered against mankind. I could not understand why he supposedly healed some people and not others.

Finally, the threat of hell was the final straw. It seemed tyrannical in nature to state that if I did not believe in God or live in accordance to his word that I would be punished eternally.

Jesus dying vicariously for all of humanity to so called reconcile us to God was outright insane in my view. Punishing an innocent man for a criminal does not make it right no matter what the reason. In the case of sin, which I now don't even consider a real word or concept it is ridiculous for Jesus to die for something nonexistent. Outside of the bible or of a religious concept the word sin and its concept is meaningless.

It's a combination of many thing Josh, I lost my faith but as I have stated many times it took a long time. It was a slow and drawn out process. The bible is full of so many errors about so many things that it is no different to me than the quatrains of Nostradamus.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hi Chat. It is clear you don't believe in the Bible, and I do, but we agree that there are things in there which don't make sense.
I almost forgot, since the Bible God is the same yesterday, today, and tommorrow, why do things change? What is it with this huge difference between the OT and NT? Here is an example. I am not saying these words are in the Bible, just an example, you will see what I mean since you have educated yourself on it. This is all in fun.

It is like someone asking my name and I would say it's Josh, then they would say your name is Josh, then I would say, no, my parents call me son. They would say, oh you are known as son, then I would respond, how many times do I have to educate these people, my name is Josh. Then I run for my room and slam the door. hehe.

The point I am trying to make is how are we saved? Is it works or faith? If you believe the Bible I would say both. Yet I can see how it can look like a book that contradicts itself.

The big difference between yourself and I is that you don't believe in God. I believe in a God who is flawed and trying to cover it up. If I were to walk into a bar and challenge someone to a fight, I am no fighter, so I would get my ass kicked. If the person were my size, I could respect them. Atleast they won fair and square. God isn't like this. I truly believe, as crazy as this sounds, that God is afraid I will make him look bad in front of the angels if he accepts my challenge. Enjoy your weekend, I won't be on until Monday. Josh

  22. One other thing Chat. This deal with saved by grace or the law??? which is it?? It talks about being saved by faith in Jesus, but he says the law will never pass away or never pass away in the age, I don't know it word for word, but enough to see some real contradiction. Apparently it's both faith and the law?? I can sure see why you don't believe as you did. When you study the Bible, every dot and tittle of it, it is very confusing. Of course a lot of believers probably have never read more than just a few verses.

At church they talked about the story of Jonah, then left out the part where he was angry at God for forgiving Ninevah. As you know, Jonah got angry, then God dried up the tree. Then he told Jonah that many people are more important than a tree. I think I have the story right. Then of course you know the story of Jericho, children slaughtered??? Know one can justify this. I bet a lot of people, if they read this, they would side with God. Don't forget about the friends of Job. They sided with God and were told they were wrong. See ya.

  24. Hi Chat, Hope you enjoyed the weekend. I cannot stand thinking about this anymore. One thing I did want to make clear, before I stop blogging. I have spent some time on here talking about killing. I forgot to mention I have very strong feelings about one thing. I believe there is a huge difference between the God of the Bible finding an excuse to kill and people doing it. There are times in life when killing may be the only option. What about a soldier?? As much as I resent the God of the universe raising hell on a group of people, what about a war? There are living beings on this earth who are put in a position to protect others. I have loved ones who have been there. As sad as it is, sometimes war is the only option. One thing I cannot stand is a person who says "stop war" and go sit on their fat ass in church on the weekend. Any decent person hates war. How about when the Bible refers to the "I am" as a man of war?The difference is that he could have stopped it. Well again, I have to say, who isn't against war? Any rational person is against war and death, but sometimes it is the only choice. My dad would not want me to put this on the internet. I have to say that he is a veteran of world war 2. He was on his way to the pacific when the atom bombs were dropped. Let me ask, was it justice that those bombs were dropped??? Many innocent people died. It saved many lives. Would I be here??? Only Chat knows. hehe. (a little humor there) The point I am making is that we are all humans. Tell me, would it be better to let people be killed, tortured, raped, beaten, etc. ????? Would it be better to stand for love, peace, justice, etc????
This is something that all humans face. I believe the huge difference between humans and God is that we have to work at it, he has a choice. He could stop pain any time he wants. Let me guess....at the end of the age he will talk a lot about this being a big test. Believe me, it is all about his ego. Believe me, it is. He has to be seen as the conquering hero. He can flap his toungue all he wants. He will never prove me wrong. The day he gives me a chance to fight, I will blog it on here. You seem like a very good man Chat. I wish you were my friend. Best wishes.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Thanks Josh! You seem like an alright person yourself and those are all valid questions that you have posted. I agree that sometimes you are faced with a life or death situation and you are forced to kill. War, self-defense, or in the defense of someone else, etc. But that is a far cry from what we read about the God of the old Testament. Leviticus has a nice list of reasons why this tryant justifies murder. Adultery, homosexuality, worshipping other gods, practicing witch craft, working on the sabbath, and many others.

As I have said many times the biblical deity is nothing more than a celestial bully and a tyrant. In fact, as far as earthly tyrants go God puts them all to shame when it comes to injustice and evil deeds.

  26. Hi Chat, I could'nt resist the urge to blog. I am reaching the point where in my heart I almost hope there is no God. The reasons have to do with the Bible never mentioning God ever laughing at himself. (You and I both know he laughs at others, when he can't prove their accusations against him to be false) Any living being who has anything to them at all should be able to laugh at themselves once in a while. One other thing is that I know he is afaid to look bad!!!!! I know he is and he is going to get away with it. You would have to be a mind reader to understand fully what I am talking about.

One reason I hope he is real has to do with me throwing this up at him. We both know that if he were to play a video game he would rig it so that he would win each game, therefore proving he is a cheater and has to rig it. The downside to this is what if he gave me a chance to defeat him?? How would I know it is a legitimate test??

I will say this, can't remember if it is genesis 32:28 or 28:32 where Jacob wrestled with the man and won. It is written that he defeated God, however you I both know this was a test. God could have won. The thing I like about this is that God admits Jacob won.
That is what I have been talking about all along, a chance to defeat that test.(not wrestling test, hehe) Before I say this I want you to know that I try to support Israel, so you don't think I have a thing against the Jewish people. However, I have to wonder if he gave Jacob a chance only because he was a jew. Is it not written that God broke the branch of the Jews off of the tree, and myself as a gentile am replaced with it. This tells me that God should treat me as a Jew and when I bitch and complain, answer my complaint, as he did with the Jewish people under Moses. Sure, some were told they would'nt inherit the promised land, but he did give them what they complained about. Am I right??? Mayble myself as a Gentile is not interested in his kingdom. Maybe I would rather have him answer my complaint and not make it into his kingdom. Now keep in mind that I have been the replaced branch, the Gentile replaced as the Jew, I should be treated then the same as the Jew.

This is out there a little. I am guessing you know a whole lot more about the Bible than myself. I believe I am accurate with these things, you would know better. Talk later. Josh

  27. One thing I forgot to mention above when I said I almost hope there is no God. It bothers me that my creator would be unjust. Not so much with my life as with people I have known. I went to school with a guy who was not treated very well. 5 years after high school he hung himself. I was a close friend to him, and know that he just wanted to be accepted. I have an x- girlfriend, we have been friends for years. She was born mentally challanged, also made fun of in school. We both know that those who mistreat others are catered to by this asshole. Those are reasons I am ashamed of him. Tell me, is it worse to call someone an asshole or to murder children? His followers would say something like, he is mysterious, or those reasons will be revealed in the end. Enjoy your Monday sir.

  29. Josh, you are reading way too much into this God thing. This is an atheist blog and I personally no longer believe in God nor accept the biblical narrative as his word.

Believe it or not you are at a crossroad where many former theists who are now atheists have tread. All of these questions and internal conflicts you are feeling are issues you have to resolve for yourself eventually. All I can do is wish you good luck and hope you come out satisfied in the end with your decision.

  30. Hi Chat, This is Josh again. I am sad to say this, but don't see how the god of the bible could exist. I won't tell you the story of my life. Ever notice how some minister will say "some people say the bible contradicts itself", and they say it in a way where they kind of make fun of the person. I wish I could tell them that the reason some think that is because it does contradict itself. I know because I have read it.I do not see justice. This world caters (not sure on spelling. I could spell better when I was 10)to the selfish. If I can't trust something in this life, why should I believe I can trust in it for the next. It's a little like the carrot in front of the mule. You never quite get there or ever see it. Kind of like bigfoot and flying saucers. Do you think maybe a superior race created us? Have a fun day. Josh

    ReplyDelete
  31. Thanks for your comment Josh, now to answer your question. I don't think a superior race created us but I don't entirely discount the possibility of alien life forms existing somewhere else in the universe. I see the world as one big science experiment. The origins of life apparently came about through the combination of environmental and chemical processes. Our bodies down to the cellular level are powered by electrical and chemical combinations through the brain and the nervous system. It's complicated but it makes sense to me.

I know, the bible does have a foolish way about it. Maybe only a fool can understand it. Why can't I?? hehe. One thing I keep thinking about is the distance the sun is from the earth. I still think some type of being or beings had to make this. I have been thinking about religion since I was 19. At 47 I am tired of wondering. Hope you enjoy your weekend.Josh

  33. Hi Chat, After reading many things on your site, I have to say it is very interesting. You can't really argue with the things you speak about. I can remember when I was about 20. I worked in a grocery store, and at the time had been very worried about being condemned to die the second death.(I have never believed in eternal hell fire)I worked with a man who said only a few would make it. Out of the blue, a woman, probably in her 50's came up to me and said that a quarter of the world is christian. For years I wondered if she were an angel. Looking back, she probably wanted me to think that. Do you think it's possible that the human race will discover the fountain of youth. Maybe we were born to soon. Maybe, with the exception of tradgedies, people with one day live to be a million. What if the creators of the universe live on earth. hehe. Have a good one, Josh

  34. Hey Josh, I don't think that we will ever find the legendary "fountain of youth." I don't know everything around us that has life eventually decays and dies. I don't find the idea of eternal life or a 900 year life span similar to Adams too appealing. I'm good if I simply live to be 80 or even less as long as I don't lose my brain function to alzheimers I'm good.

  35. Chat, I will end the suspense. I am God, and look nothing like George Burns. Getting back to the bible, there are things in there that make sense and things which do not at all. When I was younger and would make mistakes I would take the blame and say you reap what you so. As I have gotten a little older I am starting to see when you do good there is no reward, so reaping and sowing are really not a big part of my thinking anymore, atleast to extent as before. To me performance should matter. I have to say that neither the bible or evolution make any sense to me. I do resent that the bible tells me I am inferior to the Jews. I still like Jewish people as I would like any other people. Maybe we should write our own bible. We can say Gentiles are superior. All kidding aside, I do fear the Muslem religion. I feel they are dangerous. Enjoy your day, Josh

  36. I think that evolution does make sense to me although we don't have all of the pieces of the puzzle figured out yet. But given the choice between religious creation myths and evolution I would take evolution. I also believe that there is a pay off when you do certain kinds of good and your motivation for doing them.

I was walking in China town a couple of years back and I saw a blind Chinese woman heading right for an unattended open manhole cover. I came up to her and led her away from what could have been a deadly situation for her. The feeling I got from that simple act was worth it.

The reward may not be monetary, a great job, or some other selfish desire, but what you get as far as feeling about yourself is worth every second of it.

Little things like buying a homeless stranger on the street some Mcdonalds or KFC for dinner means a lot to me. I don't do it often but I do what I can when I can. That whole "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is one of the things in the bible that is good. I certainly would appreciate it if I was homeless or down and out any help from my fellow man. Whether it be a couple of cents or a hot meal.
